10 original packaging for Christmas gifts

9 original packaging for Christmas gifts

To inspire you with your Christmas presents this year, here are 9 different ways to pack them. Let your creativity go!
1- Natural ornaments

For a rustic and chic look, go pick your ornaments yourself! It can be branches of cedar, fir tree, pine cones, small cheekbones ... If you do not have access to nature, it could also be herbs such as rosemary or sage or sticks cinnamon. To emphasize these elements, use kraft paper (it may even be recycled brown paper bags) and jute twine.
2- Beautiful DIY sprouts!

Any simple packaging will be immediately enhanced with these luxury cabbages, which can be done in just a few minutes. To make them, you can use scrapbooking paper with Christmas motifs. You will need to cut out a total of 7 strips of 1 inch wide (2.5 cm): 3 with a length of 12 inches (30.5 cm), 3 with a length of 10 inches (25.5 cm) and 1 with a length of 5 inches (13 cm).

Fold each of the 6 larger strips into 8, then hook them. Simply roll the smallest tape on itself and plug it in too. Then assemble the cabbage by arranging the parts as in the photo, and then stitching everything in place.
3- A homemade gift bag

These bags are quite easy to make and will be much more noticed than those from the store! They can be made with any standard wrapping paper, with some folding steps and tape (tutorial here, in English). To close the bag, you can use a punch and slip a beautiful ribbon.

And for a little nod to the health of the woman to whom the gift is being offered, you can, for example, decorate your gift by adding a Memo-Mamo key ring.

This useful object, chic and refined, aims to make women aware of the importance, from the age of 50, of having a mammogram every two years to detect a possible breast cancer. The largest pearl represents the hump that a woman can detect herself by examining her breasts and the small one that a mammogram can detect, which can be as small as a pinhead.
4- Paper feathers

These feathers made at home are beautiful! You can create your own drawing using an X-Acto, or download the template shown in the photo (see instructions here). The feathers can be traced in different paper or cardboard light, then made even more beautiful by coloring the tip with a felt-tip pen, as if the pen had been dipped in gold leaf.
5- An old sweater

If you have an old woolen sweater that has shrunk too much in washing (or stinging!), Why not turn it into a wrapper? It gives a very intriguing and textured present that everyone will want to touch.

Place a diamond of fabric on a table and place the gift in the middle. Then bring two of the diamond tips (north and south) together in the middle and tie a knot. Then bring the other two points (east and west) in the middle and tie everything into a big knot if possible equal. That's it!
6- The bottle of wine

Offer a bottle of wine in a different packaging for a guaranteed effect! This packaging is perhaps the simplest of all: simply choose two beautiful sheets of tissue paper that evoke Christmas (it can be one that is united and the other with a pattern) and tie them around the bottle at neck level with string. It could also be done with a piece of tissue! You could also hang a small ornament for the tree.
7- Recycled paper

This idea would work equally with road maps, newsprint or music scores. The effect is very successful! Simply complete with a beautiful ribbon (if possible also recycled) and a little festive touch, like bells
8- A cardboard tube

Who would have thought that a roll of toilet paper could look so chic! Simply glue wrapping paper around the tube with white glue. Then remove excess paper if necessary and fold the two halves of the tube inward at each end. We complete with a nice string and if you want, another small decoration, such as Memo-mamo keychain. This type of packaging is perfect for paper gifts: cash, check, gift certificate, show tickets ...
9- For the little ones

To offer gifts that kids can not wait to unpack even without commercial paper and cartoon characters, go for these great ideas! The concept of these gifts is to use a very simple paper (which can be recycled) but to add a second small gift on the packaging. A small car glued over a "road", stickers or crayons so that the child decorates his own gift!
