Create a jewelry organizer with old keys

Organizing storage for jewelry is often a puzzle. From old keys and closed handles, we will make a unique display and very practical.

Material to collect

• Screws;
• Brush;
• Old keys;
• Glass of cold water;
• 2 plumber's pliers;
• recycled wood board;
• Propane torch;
• Closed half moon handles;
• Mix of white acrylic paint and water (50/50) + bowl for mixing.

Steps

1. In a bowl, mix water and acrylic paint (1 part water to 1 part paint);
2. Bleach the recycled wood board with the mixture of paint and water that is spread with a brush. One layer is enough, one wants to preserve the grain of the wood;
3. Let it dry for about 20 minutes;
4. Heat each wrench with the torch until it turns blue;
5. Use two pairs of pliers to bend the key to create a hook. If necessary, heat the key again;
6. Put the wrench in cold water to cool it;
7. Repeat steps 4 to 6 for each key;
8. Install the hooks in keys on the wooden plate with screws;
9. Install the handles upside down on the wood plate with screws.
